Arrival in Colombo

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport with meet & greet assistance and private transfer to Colombo. Check-in to a family-friendly hotel such as Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo or similar. Evening visit to Galle Face Green for sunset, ocean views, and safe street food experience. Overnight in Colombo.

Colombo – Sigiriya

Journey to Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle with en-route visit to Dambulla Cave Temple. Check-in to Aliya Resort & Spa Sigiriya or similar eco family resort. Evening at leisure with pool time or nature walk. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya & Village Experience

Early visit to Sigiriya Rock Fortress (recommended age 6+; alternative garden visit available). Afternoon village experience including bullock cart ride, farming interaction, and traditional Sri Lankan lunch. Optional sunset at Pidurangala Rock (best visibility December–April). Overnight in Sigiriya.

Polonnaruwa & Minneriya Safari

Morning exploration of Polonnaruwa Ancient City by bicycle or vehicle at a relaxed family pace. Afternoon jeep safari in Minneriya National Park, home to the famous elephant gathering (best July–October). Overnight in Sigiriya region.

Sigiriya – Kandy

Drive through the scenic countryside to Kandy. Check-in to The Kandy House or similar boutique family stay. Evening visit to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and lakeside walk or optional cultural dance show. Overnight in Kandy.

Kandy Cultural Exploration

Visit Royal Botanical Gardens Peradeniya with wide open spaces for families. Spice garden visit with interactive learning experience. Optional tuk-tuk ride around Kandy Lake. Overnight in Kandy.

Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

Early morning visit to Horton Plains National Park (recommended age 8+). Afternoon transfer to Ella via scenic viewpoints. Check-in to 98 Acres Resort & Spa. Overnight in Ella.

Visit Nine Arches Bridge for photography and sightseeing. Easy hike to Little Adam’s Peak (family-friendly, age 5+). Optional Flying Ravana Zipline (age and height restrictions apply). Relaxed café time in Ella village. Overnight in Ella.

Ella – Udawalawe

Scenic drive via Ravana Falls to Udawalawe. Check-in to a family stay. Afternoon jeep safari in Udawalawe National Park, known for year-round elephant sightings. Overnight in Udawalawe.

Udawalawe – Mirissa

Optional early morning safari. Transfer to the southern coast and check-in to Mandara Resort Mirissa or similar beachfront family hotel. Afternoon beach relaxation and swimming in designated safe zones. Overnight in Mirissa.

Mirissa – Galle

Optional early whale watching excursion (best November–April; age 4+ recommended). Drive to Galle Fort and explore UNESCO-listed heritage streets, cafés, and shops. Check-in to Le Grand Galle or similar. Overnight in Galle.

Departure

Morning leisure at the beach or Galle Fort. Optional turtle hatchery visit in Koggala or Kosgoda. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
